Building a Skincare Routine That Supports Your Treatments

In-office treatments do the heavy lifting, but what you do at home protects and extends the results. A good routine doesn't need to be complicated.

Start with the essentials

A reliable routine is built on a few consistent basics: a gentle cleanser, a moisturizer suited to your skin, and — most importantly — daily sun protection. These fundamentals matter more than any single trendy product.

Consistency beats complexity. A simple routine you actually follow will always outperform an elaborate one you abandon.

Sunscreen is non-negotiable

If you take away one habit, make it broad-spectrum SPF every day. Sun exposure is one of the biggest drivers of visible aging and pigmentation, and it can undo the benefits of in-office treatments.

Daily protection is what keeps results — from lasers to injectables — looking their best for longer.

Actives: helpful, but time them right

Ingredients like retinoids, vitamin C, and gentle exfoliating acids can be valuable — but timing matters, especially around treatments. Some should be paused before and after certain procedures.

Always check with your provider about what to use and when, rather than guessing.

Let your provider tailor it

The most effective routine is one matched to your skin and your treatments. A short conversation can save you money on products you don't need and steer you toward the handful that genuinely help.
